Magnelli, Ph.D. is a licensed, clinical psychologist who has practiced on the Monterey Peninsula since 1977.\u00a0 He was on staff at Community Hospital and has been in private practice since 1979.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large; text-align: left;\"><br \/>\nDr. Magnelli\u2019s practice focuses on the evaluation, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health issues in children, families, couples, and individuals.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large; text-align: left;\"><br \/>\nIn 2002, Dr. Magnelli began a careful inquiry into the rapidly expanding field in clinical psychology referred to as Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) and Equine Assisted Learning (EAL).\u00a0 He gained certification in this field through EAGALA\u00a0 (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association) in 2003 and continues to participate in ongoing study and training in the field.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large; text-align: left;\"><br \/>\nDr. Magnelli has conducted statistically significant research on his program and, together with his wife, Nancy, authored a well-received training manual featuring the Horsepower EAL Power Tools program.
